Thalassotherapy

Did you know that the Sea can be used as a medicine?
Research had been done and in the 16th  Century, as French doctor and anatomist, Ambrose Pare' treated Henri III with seawater bath to cure his scabies. In the 17th Century the Sea bathing became a "health craze" in England, especially in Brighton, sparked by an eccentric doctor, Richard Russell. King George IV had also undergone the cure.
The term "Thalasotherapy" was made by the French. It means "Sea water cures". In the 19th Century the French became specialists in sea water cures. Throughout the world there are numerous Thalassotherapy destinations. Thalgo is the world leader in Thalassotherapy.
