The cradle of life on earth, the sea carriers within it the memory of the world.
The oceans and the seas cover three-quarters of the planet. Over 3 billion years ago, these omnipresent, vital waters gave birth to the first living cells in the form of single- cell blue algae, from which life developed.
The sea contains over 500,000 aquactic species and 25,000 species of algae, only 50 of which are currently used in cosmetics and/or nutrition.
Algae are essential to marine balance and play an important role in biodiversity.
